ORS Olive Oil Girls Built-in Protection Plus Conditioning No-lye Creme Relaxer

• Wear the protective gloves provided in the kit throughout the process as well as when rinsing and shampooing.
• For your comfort, use a protective base (vaseline) on the scalp, hairline, ears, and nope of the neck.
• Apply ORS Olive Oil Girls Built-in Protection Plus Conditioning No-Lye Creme Relaxer.

Mixing full contents:

1. Open both cream activators (2 sachets) and squeeze the entire content into relaxer cream given in the kit.

2. Mix well with a wooden spatula until the colour is uniform with no streaks.

This uniform colour indicates that the relaxer cream is properly mixed and the relaxer mixture is ready to use.

Retouching regrowth: Mixing half contents:

1. Remove half of the amount of relaxer cream and set it aside in a separate non-metal mixing container.

2. Open one cream activator (2 sachets) and empty the contents into the mixing container you have set aside.

3. Mix well with a wooden spatula until the colour is uniform with no streaks. This uniform colour indicates the relaxer cream is properly mixed and is ready to use. Keep the unmixed half of the relaxer cream and the remaining cream activator (sachet 2) for the next retouch in a safe place.

Strand test: Always do a strand test before the relaxing process, even if you have relaxed before.

1. Wear gloves and keep them on throughout the process. Take a small section of your hair. Apply relaxer mixture evenly on the unrelaxed portion of the test section (if the hair has been previously relaxed, apply to new growth only) without touching the scalp. Set timer for your hair texture (see "time chart"). Do not rub relaxer into the scalp.

2. Check the texture and straightness of your hair regularly while waiting. If they are satisfied before recommended processing time is up, end the test. Record time in the "time chart" and use it as your processing time. Otherwise, use the time recommended in the "time chart." Never exceed the maximum processing time indicated in the "time chart".

3. When time is over, rinse the relaxer mixture from the test section with warm water and wash with after-relaxing shampoo and Rinse. Allow the test section of the hair to dry. Check for irritation or hair breakage. In case of irritation, immediately rinse and wash the area with after-relaxing shampoo. If breakage or irritation occurs, do not use this product or any other relaxer.

4. Do not wash the entire head after the strand test. If the strand is not sufficiently relaxed, increase your treatment time from the strand test results, but do not exceed the time range for your hair type. Time chart: Processing time includes application and smoothing time. Hair type - regular relaxer strength - super relaxer strength. Fine - 10 - 15 minutes - do not use. Normal - 18 - 20 minutes - 15 - 18 minutes. Coarse - 20 - 25 minutes - 18 - 20 minutes. Resistant hard to straighten - use super strength - 20 - 25 minutes. Do not exceed the processing time indicated on time chard for your hair type.

Note: colour treated hair requires less time than non-colour treated hair to relax. Refer to strand test results.

How to apply: Before you use it, see the "how to mix" section for mixing instructions. Do a strand test first. Part hair into four sections down the middle from front to back, then from ear to ear. For your comfort, we recommend you apply a protective base (vaseline) on the scalp, hairline, ears, and nape of the neck.

Step 1: Apply the relaxer mixture: With gloves on, apply the relaxer mixture on dry hair, without touching the scalp. If the hair has been previously relaxed, apply only to new growth. Use a clock or a timer. The application time must be included in the total processing time. Make narrow partings of 1cm. Apply the relaxer mixture generously, working from the 2 crown sections to the 2 hairline sections. Apply on the hairline at the end. Full head application on virgin hair: Apply the relaxer mixture section by section on the entire length of the hair, from roots to tips. Retouching growth: Apply the relaxer mixture on new growth only, section by section, starting at the roots. Avoid overlapping relaxer onto previously relaxed hair. Application of product to previously relaxed hair can cause breakage. Throw away any unused relaxer mixture.

Step 2: Smooth: Use the back of a wide-toothed comb to smooth and spread the relaxer mixture through unrelaxed hair or regrowth. Continue to smooth relaxer mixture through hair paying close attention not to exceed the maximum recommended processing time for your hair type like normal or curly hair.

Step 3: Rinse: With gloves on, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until the relaxer mixture is removed. The rinsing water must not come into contact with the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately & If you’re experiencing hair loss or irritation, please contact a medical practitioner.

Step 4: Shampoo: With gloves on, wash with after-relaxing shampoo 3 provided and rinse well. You must shampoo and rinse thoroughly at least twice to eliminate all traces of the relaxer mixture. Make sure there is no cream left on the scalp, hairline, and hair. Pink lather indicators relaxer mixture residue is still in the hair which if not removed may result in damage from overprocessing. Repeat this process as long as the lather is pink. Note: if using only half-contents of relaxer cream 1, save half of the after-relaxing shampoo 3 in the bottle for the next retouch application.

Step 5: Condition: Apply moisture plus restorative balm. Massage into hair and apply from roots to ends, making sure that hair is well covered. Leave on for 3-5 minutes rinse well.
