    In 1910, Ms. Arden opened her first salon in on the fashionable Fifth Avenue. She painted the door a bold red hue to ensure that it stood out from the already crowded street of retail shops. In 1916, Elizabeth Arden launches her very first full skincare line in the U.S. During this time, she also creates the very first travel-size skincare products available. Elizabeth Arden is famous in the cosmetics industry. She was the first to train and send out a team of traveling demonstrators and saleswomen. In 1932 brothers Charles Revson and Joseph Revson, and Charles Lachman form Revlon, a cosmetics company. They introduce the new nail polish. In 2005 Elizabeth Arden created the first cosmeceutical skincare line, Prevage Anti-Aging. The anti-aging treatment was supposed to be more effective than regular cosmetics and skincare lines. Established in 1932, Revlon is one of history's leading beauty companies. Revlon has a long list of products and innovations to its credit. Its fragrance product line Charlie was launched in 1973 and is now one of the most globally successful fragrance products all over the world. Revson managed Revlon for 50 years. He served as the president of Revlon from 1932 to 1962; from then on, he served as Chairman until his death in 1975. Today, the Revlon brand is sold in more than 140 countries and offers high-quality makeup for women, men and children. Established by Charles Lachman and later acquired by Charles Revson and his brother Joseph, the company has built a globally recognized brand image. An industry leader for more than 50 years, it continues to set new standards in makeup technology. It remains an independent company owned by the Lachman family.
